Happy Holidays!

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday! We will be up and running again with new workshops after the first of the year. We will start off our year with a Valentines workshop. I am thinking of doing Classroom gifts and then an adult valentine card workshop to make adult valentines to send out.

You should of received a the spring-summer mini in the mail. There is a special Valentine bundle in there which gets you a free spool of ribbon and a workshop incentive...host a $350 workshop and choose a free stamp set out of the mini in addition to all the other yummy hostess benefits you get. If you want to host a workshop in Feb. let me know so that I can get you on the books.

Retired list is out!

The list of retired stamps is out and you can view it at www.stampinup.com. I personally did not see anything on the list that was earth shattering. If there is something that is retiring and you can not stamp without it, just let me know. We must order it before Dec. 30th.

The list of retired accessories is out also. Now on this list the thing that struck me as OH NO, PLEASE DON'T RETIRE! is the kids stamp pads. My oldest loves to stamp with me and I love to have her stamp with me but I do not LOVE To share my ink with her. Call me Greedy I know. Anyways the kids inks are great for her and they are washable, and anyone with a child under the age of 18 can fully appreciate the thought of washable anything. So if you have a young stamper in the house you might want to consider this. I am not sure if there will be new ones in the new catty or if they are gone for ever. I am ordering the rest of Maddie's collection just in case.

Christmas Gift Tags

Here are some samples of some very quick Christmas gift tags. I have attached ribbons to some but I have to wait for the crystal effects to dry on the others before I can attach their ribbons. On the back I used my To: & From: stamp.

Christmas Card Workshop

You have 3 dates to choose from:
Nov. 2nd 7-9 at my house
Nov. 5th 9-4:30 at my house
Nov. 9th 1:30-4 at Kelly's house in Cy-Fair

Take a look at the Christmas Card samples and decide which one you like best and how many you need. Then let me know, I will figure out how much paper and what color paper and then let you know the cost of your Christmas Cards. You will need to pre-pay for this workshop by October 23rd, this gives me plenty of time to order the products and get it all sorted and ready for you to create your cards. You can find your own design if you would like, you can even bring your own paper. If you choose to bring your own paper I can not guarantee that it will match the inks. Need help figuring this out just email me or call me and I will help you.

My Stampin' & Scrappin' spot!

Here is a sneak peak at my very humble craft spot. My husband made me the wall hanging cabinets for my birthday this year. I think I need some more ink to fill it up, don't you? This is about as clean as it gets sad to say. I try to stay organized and clean when I am working on stuff, but I find it really hard to be creative without making a mess. You will see the paper storage on the floor that holds my Stampin' Up! & Creative Memories paper that I hord! I save every little scrap of that paper. I would love to see pics of your craft spots, send me the pics via email and I will share them with others. If ever you get the chance to create your own scrapbook haven you have to check out splitcoast stampers...the craft rooms shown there are awesome!

First Craft Show is over!

We had a lot of fun at the craft show today and we met some really nice people. I think we did pretty good for our first time out, I would do it again. For those of you who are seeing my blog for the first time because you met me at the craft show today, WELCOME! If you see something you like or would like to know more about something just email me and I will be happy to help. If you would like to be added to my email list just email me and let me know. I send out emails every now and then announcing specials and upcoming workshops.

I will be posting pictures of our craft booth later on tomorrow with my brand new digital camera! You will no longer be subjected to digital pictures taken with my cell phone. I can not wait for it to get charged so that I can play with it. I got the Sony H7, Office Depot had it on sale. I had been debating all week as to if I should or should not get it, at the last hour I went for it and I think I will be very happy moving away from my Minolta SLR to a digital semi-SLR.

Christmas Gift Idea!

Our workshop on October 14th and/or 15th we will be creating a scrapbook calendar. Here is some images of one that I made for my sister-in-law last year. This year I plan on making several for family members. Family members if you are reading this please act surprised when you unwrap your calendar at Christmas! We will be focusing on the stamping portion during the workshop and I will assist with the scrapbooking portion but I wanted to give you the freedom to scrapbook using your own materials and ideas. Cost is $18.00 for the first 12x12 calendar and $13.00 for each additional 12x12 calendar. Or you can bring your own calendar and the cost is $5. Please let me know by October 3rd so that I can order all the calenders in time.

Time to plan for Christmas!

Here are some samples of the Christmas cards I have made using the stamp sets that I have. If you see a Christmas card that you would like to make just let me know and I will share the "recipe" with you.

Idle Hands!

Mom and I have talked about it for years and we finally decided to take a deep breath and try out something new! We have signed up for a craft fair!!! My mom by trade is a seamstress and I tried really hard to follow in her foot steps but I was just no good at it and I did not like it much either, sorry mom. I can sew a little but nothing major. I found that paper crafts was more my thing. So we decided that together we have enough talent to have our very own craft booth. WOW! My mom is making the cutest lounge wear sets for kids. Cute little pants and matching t-shirts. I am going to push my paper crafts and hopefully find a few new people who are interested in stamping. I will let you know how it goes. My aunt will be selling beaded jewelry and my sister will be selling hair bows. Come by and see us October 6th.

Below you will see the Halloween treats that we will make at this Tuesday's stamp camp and I made some to sell at the craft fair. I also have posted some journals that I am working on for the fair as well as some Christmas cards. I am kinda hoping that people will want to order their Christmas cards from me that would be cool. Please let me know what you think I would love your feedback. If there is a card that you like I will be happy to email you exactly what I used to make it.

The Halloween treats shown are decorated bubble containers, baby food jars, and lollipops. I used the Batty for you stamp set, Creepy Crawly paper, and my new scallop punch. I love the new scallop punch!

TRACY WON!

Tracy received the most votes for this card swap. Her "happiness" card was very nicely done. Although, we were all winners of the card swap only one person gets to take home the prize package. Here is a sample of some of the items Tracy received. I hope everyone had fun. Thanks again for playing.
This is a card I made for a friend of mine. I got the idea from a card I saw on Splitcoast. I had to alter the idea to use the materials and stamp sets that I have on hand but I was pleased with the end result.

Our first card swap went rather well I must say. Thank you all for playing I hope you had fun. I am off to put together all the fun goodies that Kimberly and I have been working on for the winner. Don't forget to vote for your favorite by August 31st. Just send me an email with the name of the person who created your favorite card. Sorry for the bad photos I am using my camera phone since I am one of those weird people who can't seem to let go of my film camera.

Thanks!

Our 1st Card Swap
