Target Clearance!

Do I have to tell you how much I love Target and Target clearance items woohoo I am in heaven! Here is my latest Target clearance find. It is from Craft storage systems it is a wall rack with 5 plastic containers. Mind you the plastic containers remind me of sample cups from the doctors office...you know what I mean? Anyways, there it was not 1 but 3 of these little beautiful guys just sitting all alone on the clearance end cap. Guess how much. $2.57 yes, you read correctly. Normal price $10.29 and I only paid $2.57. Guess how many I bought. You're right I bought all 3 do I need all 3? probably not but for $2.57 I think the scrapbooking gods might of gotten angry if I did not get them all. So now I have extra storage for my ever growing stamp collection and the cute little cups with lids will hold eyelets and such. Just had to share my bargain.

Friday's Crop!

Friday April 4th I will be scrapbooking, and I would love for you to join me. I will be starting at noon and will continue until about 9. You can come and go and kids are welcome. You will have free reign on all my stuff. Just drop me an email by Wednesday so I know you are coming and I will send you directions to my house.

Friday Idea!

Happy Friday!

Today's Friday idea is my oldest daughter's birthday invitation. Up until about 2 weeks ago we were suppose to be having a webkinz birthday and all the sudden she changed her mind to a horse birthday. So I am getting a little bit later start than normal.

This card uses Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla and blush blossom cardstock. The ink is Going gray, close to coco and Versamark for the background of the card. The stamp set is Wanted and Hugs & Wishes. Tools used were the scallop punch for the blush blossom background behind the horse, Crop-a-dile to set the eyelet on the sentiment tag and I used my cutter kit (the distressing tool) to distress the edges of the Very Vanilla 'wanted' portion of the card. The twine is Hemp cord that I got a Micheal's in the jewelry making section. The stars on the background of the 'wanted' portion of the card was achieved by inking my stamp stamping one time on a scrap paper and then stamping two times on the very vanilla without re-inking. That way the star would be lighter then the words 'wanted' even though I was using the same color ink. I drug..dragged...umm... I inked the edges of the sentiment 'your invited' by dragging it in the going gray ink. I used a pop dot under the blush blossom scallop to add dimension.

My events for you.
To celebrate my 200 visitors to my blog I am giving you 20% off your merchandise order if I have your order and money by April 4th. I will be placing the order the evening of April 4th.

My husband is going out of town this week so, Friday April 4th I will be scrapbooking from noon till about 9pm. If you would like to join me please let me know by Wednesday. Kids are welcome to come play while you scrapbook.

Upcoming Changes for Stampin' Up! Starting April 1st Stampin' up will start taking credit cards. No more having to go through paypal. The other change is they are raising their minimum shipping charge from 3.95 to 6.95 which seems like a huge jump. My plan to ease the pain of the increase shipping fee is try to combine smaller orders together when I can so that you split the shipping cost. That way if you only have a $25 order and I have someone else with a $45 order I will combine them and the two of you would split the $6.95 shipping instead of you each paying $6.95. Does that make sense? This does not effect orders larger than $69.95 their shipping would still be 10%.

A gift for a friend's friend!

I made this for a friend of mine to give to a friend of hers. She wanted a little sign in her babies bassinet at the hospital to remind the nurses and staff of her wishes to BF exclusively. This is what I cam up with. I used the zoofari stamp set, bashful blue paper, chocolate brown and chocolate brown DP, barley banana and whisper white card stock and bashful blue ink. The alphabet that I used was best friends lower and I used my close to coco pen to write at the top her wishes.

Woohoo! I hit 200 !

I know at first glance that does not sound like something I should be excited about. I did not hit 200 pounds at least not yet, it's 200 blog visitors.

I have 200 hits on my Stampin' Up! blog. Just crossed the mark today and I am so excited that you have been visiting my little blog that I want to give you a present. I will be placing an order on April 4th and if you turn in your order and money in time to be on that order I will give you my discount! That's 20% off your merchandise.

Thanks a bunch and I hope you are having fun stamping! Remember I am also your source for stamping info...need help with an idea or color combo just shoot me an email I will be happy to help you with your projects.

Friday Idea on a Saturday Morning!

Sorry, very busy day yesterday. We spent the day at the zoo and did not get home in time for my Friday Idea. If you plan on going to the zoo this month there is a coupon on their website for a free kids ticket with every adult ticket purchased. Saves you $5 for each kid!

Now back to business.

This is an Easter card that I made for my Sister. The stamp set is ' A good egg'. The card stock is barely banana, Chocolate chip, Pretty in Pink and whisper white. The ink is Chocolate chip. I colored the little chicken and egg with my watercolor pencils. The little egg shell laying on the ground is just the same hatching chicken stamp but I cut everything else off so that it could be the top of the egg shell. The ribbon is from Micheal's. The background of the card is done with Versamark. If you really like a tone on tone effect or a subtle look you need to try the versamark. It does really well with the lighter colors and does ok with the darker colors. It makes what is called a 'watermark' image just slightly darker than the color of the cardstock that you stamped it on. You can also use versamark with your chalks although I have not tried it yet.

Remember Monday is the last day I can order from the sale-a-bration catalog so let me know ASAP if there was something that you really wanted.

I hope you have a great Easter!

Friday Idea!

I am trying to focus on Easter since it is right around the corner. Mind you I also have both of my girls birthday's at about the same time.
Today's card is a card I copied from the new Idea book & catalog. I did not have all the stuff that they used so I improvised and isn't that what scrapbooking and card making is all about? The stamp set used is A good egg which I really like. The paper is bashful blue, old olive, chocolate chip and whisper white. The ink is bashful blue. The zig zag was colored with the watercolor pencils. After I stuck it on I really wanted to take it off but this was the time when my adhesive instantly turned to cement...wouldn't you know. The ribbon is from the $1 spot at target. Have you seen their new scrapbooking ribbon? Very cute! Shhh! don't tell stampin' up but I got a 1 inch circle punch on clearance for $4.50 it is paper shaper brand and everything, I also picked up this really cute flower punch from the same company on clearance too for about the same price. These bargains were found in the "real" scrapbook section of target.
Sale-a-bration is till going on so it is not too late to order. Don't forget that the occasions mini that I sent you last week can be used with the sale-a-bration. Check it out on my blog if you deleted it already. (gasp!) Also we still have the DEMO kit for 20% off right now, $159! The next promotion will start right after sale-a-bration host a $350 workshop or party and get $25 in free merchandise of your choice! WOW that would be at a minimum of $65 in free stampin up stuff...who couldn't use that?
