Mid-week Idea!

Just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that we are in the middle of sale-a-bration right now. For every $50 you spend you get to choose an additional stamp set out of the sale-a-bration catalog. There are also bonuses for workshop sales during this sale. I will be placing an order this Friday.

Spring Break is next week and sadly I have no plans because my husband is out of the country. So if there is anyone interested in cropping next week let me know and we will come up with a day and time that works for everyone.

I also have had a request for a card swap. For those new to stampin' up a card swap is when several people sign up and agree to make several copies of the same card. I then swap all the cards so that you end up receiving a different card from each participant that you can use through out the year. It is a great way to get cards made with stamp sets that you might not own and to get many different cards for all kinds of occasions. If you are interested in participating in a card swap let me know, once I have at least 5 people who want to play then we will set due dates.

Today's idea comes from me. This is my youngest daughters birthday invitation and her thank you cards.

For the invite:
Cardstock: Chocolate chip, Pretty in Pink, white card stock from walmart
Designer Print paper: Pretty in pink
Stamp set: Perfect Princess
Tools: scallop corner maker from creative memories, decorative cutting wheel
Ink: Pretty in Pink

Invites were printed with my printer

For the Thank you notes:

Friday Idea on Saturday

1) Our Friday Idea today is the card that will be made for Madeline's and Allison's friends at their school. This follows the same design as the color-me cards that I did a couple of christmas ago. They will be packaged with 3 crayons for the kids to use to color their own card. I happen to have several stamp images from many different stamp sets that were valentine-ish and I thought that they would work well for a color me card. I have attached the top image of the card, if you would like to see all the images than you will have to check out my blog.
Details:
Stamp sets: Love you much (new), Time well spent (retired hostess set), Love matters (retired)
Ink: Sometimes I am wild and creative and other times I can't seem to find my way out of the box. My first thought was all images should be stamped in black, but then I realized that would be boring. So I used black (too cheap to re-stamp the image :) ), tempting turquoise, real red, lovely lilac
Card stock: Pretty in Pink (1/4 sheet) Whisper white (3x3 only because of the size of the images I used)
Ribbon: Turquoise ribbon...I kind of like pink and turquoise what do you think?
Tools: Need something else so I used my scallop maker punch (New) across the top

2) New catalog is here and you can now view it online. You can buy one from me for $6 while I still have some or you can host a party with sells of $150 and get one free. Remember this can be a standard welcome to stampin' up party or a 10 for $10, or a crop it is all up to you.

3) READY? Sale-a-bration is HERE!!!! Starts Feb. 1 rules are simple:
Buy $50 and choose a set for FREE! Buy $100 and choose 2 sets for FREE and so on
Host a show with sells of $300 choose a set, $600 choose 2 sets and so on, Plus you get the regular free stuff too! I am posting the sale-a-bration catalog on my blog

I will place orders every Friday until sale-a-bration ends (march 31) Get with your friends combine your orders to increase your free stuff. Did you know that if you and friends turn in orders together that reach hostess status you get the hostess stuff without having to clean your house and fix snacks?

Clipboards

A friend of mine made these clipboards as teacher gifts for her nephew. We have done this before, if you are interested in a class or workshop where we make these clipboards please let me know. I will come up with a date and time to make them.

Calendar

My mom, sister and I made calendars this year. Last year I made the calendars for them and gave them as a present, this year we made it a fun get together. We indeed had tons of fun and laughed and giggled.
The calendar that we used is stampin ups 12x12, which is showing up on the retired list. Not sure if they are updating it or doing away with it. I sure hope they are not doing away with it. Each month I either stamped the background with an appropriate seasonal stamp set or used paper. Important days of the month were stamped to make them stand out. The month names were stamped using various alphabet sets.

Friday Idea!

Before we get started with all the fun stuff, I must confess to all my stamping friends. Here we go are you ready? I did not send out Christmas cards this year at all, not even store bought ones. I really felt bad about it too, I just waited too long to get started on it and by the time I had a moment it was too late. So next year I will make right this wrong. I feel better now.

Tons of promotions going on right now.
